Appartamento Il Palagio

I loved how much nature surrounds this place, with hills, woods, and olive trees all around. The apartment was lovely and offered a lot for the price. It was clean, the beds were comfortable, and there was heating. The kitchen had loads of appliances, including three moka pots, plus spices, ground coffee, and basic food supplies. The view was amazing too.

After busy days visiting Florence, Pisa, and the smaller medieval towns around Tuscany, it was great to come back to this peaceful spot. The apartment sits on a hill above Vinci, among olive trees, with a lovely garden and pool. We had a really nice holiday here.

A great base for exploring this part of Tuscany. The scenery is beautiful, and the apartment has everything you need. The owners are lovely and quick to respond.

We spent four nights here at the end of a four week road trip with our son, and it was a perfect finish. The apartment had just been renovated with a lot of care, and the bedroom has views of both sunrise and sunset. From there, the Tuscan countryside, Vinci, and Leonardo da Vinci’s birthplace look incredible. We loved the huge garden and walking through the olive grove. It was so peaceful, and the hosts were very friendly and helped whenever we needed anything. Their son speaks excellent English and even arranged a special surprise for us. We cycled the scenic road into Vinci, though getting back uphill takes strong legs or an electric motor. The pool was too cold for us in March, but it’s due to be replaced with a heated one. A great place for the three of us.
