Bacco a Petroio

The food was generous and excellent, all homemade, and the wine was too. My wife, our dog Urka, and I stayed for a night, and she was made very welcome. Mrs. Marina Colombo looked after us from booking through departure and was a wonderful host. Our room was large and clean, if a little dated, in keeping with the rest of the property. It was very peaceful there.

We booked a night as a stopover without knowing what to expect, and it turned out to be a really pleasant surprise. The food was excellent and the wine was good. Our room was simple but comfortable and clean, with air conditioning. The lady and her husband were both very kind and helpful. My husband, our dog, and I had a wonderful time. I highly recommend it.

Handy for a short stay, with plenty of parking and dinner available on site. The staff were very friendly and especially helpful with small children. It’s well placed near Empoli and Vinci. The one drawback is that the rooms aren’t very soundproof.

Dinner was served in a quiet, elegant room and featured their own products, including authentic Cinta Senese with such distinctive flavors. A very kind, cheerful woman who knew her stuff welcomed us, showed us to our room, and explained everything in detail. Congratulations! I’ve ordered more Cinta Senese sausages for breakfast tomorrow. Highly recommended!
