Belvilla by OYO Leonardo

That pool was a real treat in the heat. It was clean, had a few loungers, and we could have a snack brought over, which we appreciated. The apartment was a decent size but pretty basic, and didn’t quite live up to the special feel of the restaurant. We stayed a few nights in summer, so fly screens on the windows would’ve helped keep the mosquitoes out. The restaurant is a must. Lovely food, great service, and a delicious wine list. The team knew their stuff and suggested good pairings for our meal.

We loved unwinding by the beautiful pool, with its views across the Tuscan countryside. It was nice to spend the day exploring other parts of the region and then come back to relax there. The place is only a short drive from Florence and has that classic Tuscan feel. The food was especially good, and the staff gave us great wine pairing suggestions. Their service felt personal, so we never felt like just another group of tourists passing through. We also met the family who own the property. They were generous and helpful with advice on getting around the region. We’d definitely return.

The villa is split into five apartments, each with a double room, twin room, bathroom, and kitchen. That worked really well for our group of 20: we could spend time together and still have space and privacy. The location is idyllic, and the villa has great facilities. The pool area was spacious, clean, modern, and had incredible views. We booked through HomeAway expecting to have the whole villa to ourselves, but it wasn’t completely private. The restaurant is run separately, so other people were around the patio in the evenings and by the pool during the day. It wasn’t a serious problem, though we were surprised and felt a little uncomfortable. We’d highly recommend the villa, but the lack of complete privacy should be made clear.

The view was fantastic, and the service was very good. We had a wonderful three course dinner with great wine. A perfect evening!
