The owners were so friendly and welcoming, and even spent time playing with my daughter, who absolutely loved being with them. They also managed to seat all of us together at one table, even though we were a big group. The rooms are cozy and nicely decorated, and the apartments are superb. It’s a charming, family-friendly place near the center of Vipiteno and several ski areas, so I’d definitely recommend it to families. I’m Italian and live in the USA, and I’d missed going to the Alps so much. We finally booked our Christmas 2022 trip in August, and I was so happy. Thanks again for a wonderful experience.

We stopped for one night on our way to Tuscany and had a great stay. The sheets were soft, the mattresses made for a good night’s sleep, and the rooms were clean and tidy. The restaurant serves excellent traditional South Tyrolean food, and the service was great. The pool and sauna were a definite bonus.

I booked a family suite many months ahead for five nights with half board, for €2178. Later our plans changed and we chose another town, but I forgot to cancel. I realized six days before arrival and canceled, then wrote right away to ask whether the hotel could work with me to rebook the room so we wouldn’t lose all the money. The policy said we’d get 50% back if we canceled eight days ahead, but lose everything at seven days. I understood the policy was there to protect the hotel from last-minute vacancies. Since there was almost a week left and travel had picked up again after Covid, I hoped the owner might return my money if the room could be booked by someone else. The owner refused to look for a solution that could help both of us, and immediately charged the full stay, including half board. He said he did this to stop me from canceling the credit card I’d used to book, which he thought would prevent him collecting the money. The hotel website showed no rooms available when I checked, so I couldn’t tell whether they’d rebooked ours or simply not tried to fill the vacancy. In a series of increasingly unpleasant emails, though, the owner admitted he’d given our room to another guest as an upgrade because it was the nicest room in the hotel. I made one more attempt at a compromise, asking for the half-board amount back and the difference between our room’s price and the room the other guest had originally booked, since they ended up in ours. The owner refused and said it was my mistake and he had no obligation to make an effort for me. That’s true, he had no obligation. Still, I’ve never dealt with anyone in the service industry who seemed to care so little about making a customer happy. I’ll take my business elsewhere and warn future travelers that if they run into a problem here, they may not find a sympathetic host.

Friendly staff, good food, and a very nice hotel. We made the plan at the last minute, and it turned into a really pleasant surprise. I’d consider coming back.
