The room was a little small, but it was fine since the place wasn’t full. Their pages say towels, a hair dryer, and a kitchen are available, but none of those were there. For a pilgrim hostel that’s okay, though we would have liked the chance to cook a meal. The hardest part was getting in touch: no replies to emails or calls until we managed to get an answer the day before arrival. Then, when we arrived during the stated check-in time, nobody opened the door, and we waited half an hour in the rain. It’s presented as donation-based, but in reality it costs 15 euros. We were also surprised to hear they told everyone who called that they were full, when only four of us were in a building with space for 50. That didn’t feel like the spirit of “welcome pilgrims” to me.

We’re grateful for the hospitality. There was some confusion with our booking, but the staff still found us a place to stay. After walking all day, being able to shower and have a bed felt like heaven. We really appreciated it.

It’s in the Capuchin monastery, a short walk from the city walls, though not very close to the center. The rooms are small but decent, with bunk beds for pilgrims. It could definitely be better.

The room was great value for the price, and parking was convenient. It’s only a few minutes from the centre. I stayed just one night, but the place was modern, tidy and, above all, clean. Filippo at reception was very kind and helpful. I’d recommend it!
