Hotel Salus Terme - Adults Only

We left feeling fully relaxed and would definitely return. The only real drawbacks for us were weak room Wi-Fi, which made websites and streaming hard to use, and the limited vegetables at breakfast. My wife is vegetarian. We asked the kitchen for fried eggs, and they kindly brought them with tomatoes, which helped, but a few basic vegetables or light salads would give guests with plant-based preferences more choice. The property is adults-only, with a lovely peaceful feel. There are several pools, and the large garden has plenty of space to walk. Staff were friendly and smiling from the start. The SPA is especially beautiful, with roomy chill-out areas and a calming atmosphere. We also enjoyed the 20-minute mindful break for hotel guests, with singing bowl sound therapy, gentle aromas and a light forehead massage in a dedicated relaxation room. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with two bathrooms. It's about a 10-minute drive to Viterbo's historic center, nice for an evening walk at sunset in the papal town. The drive from Rome's airport took about 1.5 hours and was easy and scenic.

The pools are beautiful, though they can get crowded. We enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere, clean rooms and good spa services. The restaurant service at both dinner and breakfast needs attention: there seemed to be too few staff, which led to confusion and long waits. That doesn't fit the four-star rating or the price.

We stayed as a group. The rooms could use a little updating, but they were still very comfortable, and reception was kind. Breakfast was excellent, with good sausages, savory pastries and fruit.

If you're near Viterbo, don't miss this unique, amazing place. It's relaxing and magical, the staff are very kind and polite, the rooms are amazing, and the massage treatments are top quality.
