My family had a great time here. The views were lovely, the grounds were well maintained, and there was an Enoteca built into the property. Staying here was a pleasure, and it’s one of the best places I’ve ever stayed.

We’ve stayed at Castrum Serravalle twice now, and loved it both times. The town itself is lovely, without feeling touristy or overcrowded. Our Sofia Suite had a lovely terrace overlooking the mountainside. Ada is wonderful, always giving great suggestions for places to visit and detailed directions for finding parking, which matters a lot in Italy. This visit we also booked two experiences through the Castrum. The day in the Prosecco hills was great: we went to places we’d never have found ourselves and visited two Prosecco wineries. Iveta shared some really interesting history along the way. We also had a chef’s dinner in the Sofia Suite. Iveta was the chef too, planning a lovely menu and pairing wine with every course. It was one of the best meals we’ve had in Italy, and we’ve been coming here for about 14 years. We highly recommend Castrum di Serravalle and its experiences, and we’ll be back. Hello to Ada, Luisa, Sara, Iveta, Gaia and Lulu!

Built on the site of a Roman settlement, this 13th-century fortified house or castle is a one-of-a-kind place to stay. Ada, the owner, personally takes care of her guests and is gracious and helpful without intruding. After three nights here, we’ll definitely return.
