Hotel Calvi

The hotel’s atmosphere, comfortable bed, generous breakfast buffet, and creative dinners all made our stay enjoyable. We’re elderly and managed our two-week trip around Italy using public transport, but the journey began badly, with several missed flights. Flora calmly rearranged our Venice airport pickup twice and made a stressful situation much easier. She also set up a great Prosecco tour. One staff member helped me find and buy bus tickets online, and when we left, her husband drove us across town to the bus stop. The owners and staff gave us so much thoughtful help that we were very glad we chose Hotel Calvi.

We spent a week here as a family, and the hotel was much better than I expected. The rooms were clean, pleasant, and kept in excellent shape. By the Meschio riverside, it has a beautiful setting, a spotless garden, and a pool that’s very well cared for. There’s a good range at the breakfast buffet, and the restaurant is excellent too. The staff are very polite and ready to help. Even though the team is small, someone is on duty from early morning through the day and into the evening. Highly recommended.

The garden and pool were such a relaxing place to spend time, and the beautiful building has thoughtful little touches throughout. You can tell Alfredo's family has cared for and loved this hotel for generations. Breakfast was outstanding, too. Alfredo, Flora, and their family made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. They arranged a transfer from the train station, offered taxi service, and even kept a suitcase for us while we hiked in the dolomites. I’ve never felt so comfortable at a hotel so quickly. The service was impeccable, and we can’t wait to return to this lovely town.

The little backyard feels like a paradise, and breakfast was fantastic. My wife and I stayed at Hotel Calvi in August and loved it. Our lovely room was right beside the stream, and Flora and Alfredo were warm hosts who made us feel at home. They even pointed us toward some great nearby running routes. I’d strongly recommend staying here.
