This is aimed at the people managing these properties, rather than future guests: Altelier GUEST House Voghera, B&B al Duomo Voghera, and B&B e dalle Rose Voghera. Do you ever stay at the properties and check the rooms? Are the amenities you advertise actually working, and are there linens available? What do you smell when you walk in? Are the walls intact, or is there mold? As Checco Zalone would ask, “Are you a professional?” A heartfelt suggestion: take a HACCP course and a receptionist course, including guest complaint management and regulations. You’re light years away from being able to call yourselves hosts. I’m not posting the photos because I don’t want to offend you. If you plan to carry on, please take a look at yourselves.

It’s 4 a.m. as I write this, after a really awful and traumatic experience. We came from Rome for a trade fair, my partner and I are business owners, and I absolutely don’t recommend this place. A couple in the room above us were having a huge argument. The woman was crying, then we heard a loud thud. I went into the hallway to ask them to stop making noise, and my partner found a woman down the stairs who had obviously been abused. I called the police right away. You can’t pretend you didn’t hear when there’s violence against women, even when you’re scared to be around people like that.

There’s a large green area in front of the house, with the castle and cathedral just a two-minute walk away. A bar, pharmacy, and supermarket are also close by, and there’s reserved street parking. The area is quiet, and you can relax in the internal garden. The property is right in central Voghera. The spacious, bright room is tastefully furnished with designer touches and has a fully equipped kitchen, including an oven. It also has air conditioning and windows with mosquito nets. Good value, too.

The rooms smell damp, with mold on the walls, and the heating doesn’t work. Shame on you. It’s a pity the rating can’t be lower than one star.
