The room is clean and good for a reasonable price, and restaurants are within walking distance. It’s close to the center of Voghera, too. Internet connectivity is weak, so it’s not a good choice if you’re travelling for business.

Roberto and the staff were great, and they always greeted me with a smile when they saw me coming or going. I really appreciated that. The location is good, and the place feels very safe. The breakfast setup is nice, too: you get redeemable cards for a local cafe, and it’s pretty great there. Those things brought my rating up from a 3 to a 4, and I’d definitely stay again. I hope this review encourages the maintenance work the place needs. There were more than a dozen little things in my room that needed attention. I didn’t see the other rooms, but maid service tried to come in every day, and there was no way to put up a “do not disturb” notice. At first I thought someone had the wrong room since I don’t speak Italian. The next day I went out, and when I came back the room had been reset. Some examples: the door trim was loose and falling apart at the bottom, one shower door was missing, and there was some mold or mildew. The hand shower holder was loose where it grips the attachment and where it adjusts in height. The toilet seat was loose, there were spider webs in several spots, and there was water damage behind the radiator. The towel hook was missing hardware and loose. With a screwdriver and pliers, I could have fixed most of it in under 30 minutes, which makes you wonder why it wasn’t dealt with. I’d have liked to give this a higher rating because of the staff and location, but those room issues got in the way.

Free parking and a room with both a kitchen and living area made this a great-value stay. Roberto, the owner, was really friendly and helpful. We’d choose this place again when staying in Voghera.

The people here are caring and always ready to help, and the place has everything I need. I come back for work in this part of Italy, and it feels like my second home. It’s quiet and cosy, with wood throughout and a lovely setting full of roses and flowers around a typical Italian house. There’s fast internet and a TV, too. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else.
