The indoor pool was a good size, with lovely warm water and a sundeck. It was great for a swim before bed. My room was very spacious and quiet, the beds were clean and comfortable, and the bathroom was roomy too. Breakfast had a good range of continental options, and the staff were helpful. The breakfast team were especially kind and polite, particularly Simonetta. There were some drawbacks. The entrance was hard to spot, as other reviews have also said. The rugs in the rooms and hallways didn't look very clean and could have done with replacing, and several hallway walls had water damage. Still, I felt safe recommending it for a night. My stay at Valgrande Hotel was average, neither great nor bad.

The drinks were outrageously priced, and there was no customer service. We left after being offered a second moldy room, following a two-hour wait. The first room, which I unfortunately didn't photograph, was even worse. You could see and smell the mold, and the sockets and light switches were hanging loose. These photos are current as of 01.10.2023. The hotel management never got in touch. The motel nearby is definitely a better choice.

The restaurant food was below standard, and even if you order just one course from the set menu, they still charge you for three. My room's air conditioning only blew hot air, even on the lowest setting. The hotel feels disjointed and lifeless, like a waiting room that needs a thorough clean. The rooms were quite large, but the quality was low. There's no Wi-Fi in the rooms, and you can only get online at reception. From outside the building looks dilapidated, and the photos don't show its real condition. I won't return, and I'd advise people to stay elsewhere.

The pool area was beautiful, and access was free until midnight. Even at night the water wasn't cold, so it was lovely to swim. The spa wasn't accessible during our stay, but we had a relaxing massage instead. The rooms were really big and comfortable, and breakfast was good, with a buffet and a great choice of sweet and savory food. The staff were kind and nice. We had a wonderful, relaxing weekend at the hotel in Vogogna, a small town very close to Lago Maggiore. I'd recommend it if you want to relax and enjoy the beauty of nature.

The superior room was good, breakfast was okay, and the staff were friendly. But it isn't a four-star hotel, it's hard to find, and it's far from Lake Maggiore. There was no spa, and the massage, pool, and food were all terrible. I'll never come back!
