We’d happily stay again. It’s peaceful and quiet on a hill, with lovely Tuscan countryside views, yet Volterra and other towns are close enough to visit. Our apartment was clean, and the kitchen had the basics we needed. There’s a large pool and plenty of outdoor seating for enjoying the view. The hosts made us feel welcome right away and were super friendly. Bringing our dog was no problem. Their dog, Elba, kept to herself and didn’t bother ours. There are several apartments on the property, and we could see sheep, a pony, and horses around the grounds.

The photos don’t show how beautiful Agriturismo Castello really is, or how well kept the accommodation is. We spent a couple of days in a place Andrea clearly puts his heart and soul into. He was a wonderfully kind host, and Eva was lovely too. Many thanks.

Andrea was such a great host, taking time to show us around and even making it possible for our little daughter to see the farm animals twice. We had a wonderful time at Agriturismo Castello, which Andrea runs with his family. The place and the views are simply amazing. Thanks again, we’ll definitely try to visit again.

Andrea is always up for a chat and happy to show you around, including the chickens, horse, and sheep. That personal touch seems to bring back quite a few guests. The farm is a working organic wheat farm in the middle of wheat fields, with lovely golden hills around the beautiful swimming pool. It’s close to Volterra but away from other tourists, and well placed for visiting other interesting sights in the region. There are two large accommodations for up to 6 people and two smaller ones for up to 4. Each has outdoor seating to enjoy the views and a private bbq. The kitchens are well enough equipped, and bedrooms have fans, which matters in the warm summer, especially this year.

A working farm, a really nice family, and a great conversation with the owner made this one of my best air bnb stays. I had a really good time here, and the two wonderful dogs, zoe and eva, were bird hunters. Highly recommend the place. Several cities are an easy drive away.
