Agriturismo Il Mulinaccio

Alessio and his place were wonderful. We spent an afternoon hearing about the family and sharing a meal, and it’s a time we’ll cherish. The hospitality was warm, and we loved the food and wine. Looking forward to coming back.

The owner was nice and outgoing, though our goodbye ended in an argument and he frightened me by bringing up the police. I strongly wouldn’t recommend this place. It’s remote and neglected, with an unattractive look; getting there means driving a steep, potholed road suited to off-road vehicles. In the rain, the apartment roof and windows leaked. The kitchen was poorly equipped, some plates were unwashed, and the cups were broken. The pool was small and dirty, while the spa was closed and neglected. Broken flowerpots and rusty garden furniture were scattered around, along with many dirty or damaged items. Wi-Fi only worked at the main building. Breakfast portions were small and seemed reluctantly served, including just a little honey left in a small jar, though the coffee was good. I didn’t have dinner. You can find nicer places to stay in the area for this price.

Alessio’s mom makes food you won’t forget, so be sure to try it. This is a fantastic, peaceful spot for enjoying the real Tuscan countryside.

The people and food were great, and the rooms were clean and spacious. They grow saffron, truffle, and wine on their own land 😍.
