We had such a good time here and would happily come back. The views from the house are breathtaking, and the huge, completely non-salty pool has plenty of garden space around it. The kitchen was supplied with everything we needed, plus little extras like oil, herbs, salt, pepper, and dishwasher tablets. The shaded dining area was great for meals. Volterra and the house made the holiday feel special. And if you stay, give the little white tabby cat a bite to eat when it comes by.

The garden is a good size, and the pool was clean and just right, though it is saltwater. We found the house spacious, but it could have used a bit more cleaning, since there were cobwebs, and the towels didn’t seem very new. It’s under 3 km from Volterra’s center, but about 300 m lower down, so be ready for a climb if you’re hiking there. Nearby attractions are very close. The owner is lovely and lives on the far side of the house, though guests hardly see him. A great spot for a family holiday in Tuscany.

We spent May 19th to 21st surrounded by peace, quiet, and beautiful nature. Elena and her father were wonderful hosts, and it was a lovely experience.
