The room was clean, and the service was nice. It’s a little farther from the center, but I enjoy walking, so that worked perfectly for me. This is a very Sicilian place, with an old building, distinctive art, and older furniture inside. It’s obviously not the Hilton, but that’s part of its character. Why not give it a try? 😀

We got a spacious room for a good price, and the owner was kind. The A/C needed some attention and the Wi-Fi kept cutting in and out, but it was still a pleasant place and a great deal.

Bad weather meant my boat to Vulcano was cancelled, so I only spent one night on the island and asked the hotel for a refund. They said no, explaining that my booking was last minute, even though I’d booked the day before. Be careful when booking a hotel on the Aeolian Islands.

Breakfast by the pool somehow turned into a really disappointing experience. I expected something like a buffet, but they brought two yogurts and two croissants of their choice, bread with jam, chocolate and honey, plus coffee and a disgusting, overly sweet fake juice. The staff seemed to have no hospitality experience or good manners.

The rooms are clean, though not modern. There’s free Wi-Fi and a pool with a beautiful view of Volcano. Breakfast gets repetitive and there isn’t much of it.
