Manfredi really made us feel welcome and comfortable. The place was spotless, with a cosy atmosphere, and sits close to the harbor, beaches, and mud baths, right on the road toward the big Fossa crater.

The owner was so helpful, talking us through the crater walk and its timings. He also suggested a restaurant and a panini spot for Lipari, and a restaurant on Stromboli where we could watch the eruptions at night. The panini place was excellent. Our room was simple but very clean, and breakfast was generous on a lovely terrace. Thanks for a lovely stay.

They even opened breakfast early for us before our ferry, and the rooftop terrace had a lovely view of the volcano. We spent one night at Pensione La Giara, a little over a five-minute walk from the port, on a fairly quiet street and along the route to the volcano path. Our family of four had two connected rooms and a bathroom shared between them, which worked perfectly. The owner gave us tips about the climb and nearby restaurants when we arrived. Great service and a great stay.
