The staff are very nice, and the room layout and beds are just right. But maintenance is seriously lacking. There are broken things everywhere, even plaster left on the carpet. The hotel layout feels odd, the pool is in a strange spot, and the bar could be much more appealing. Credit to the staff, but the owners are letting the place become a hotel from another era.

It seems the place was meant to be a grand spa resort originally, but some things have deteriorated. It was nice enough and within 40 minutes of Taormina. We ended up booking in an emergency after Sirina House cancelled our reservation a week beforehand, even though we’d booked six months earlier.

The setting is beautiful, the pool is great, and we enjoyed the spa, which was included in our rate. Paying 35€ for it would feel too expensive to me. The hotel feels quite dated, so it doesn’t come across as five-star. Breakfast could be better too: the scrambled eggs are left on a big plate and go cold quickly, and they don’t cook anything fresh for you. Still, it was good value for money.

The place is a little dated, but the rooms, pool, location, and breakfast are all really nice. The staff were super friendly too. I’d recommend it if you’re near Mount Etna!
