We visited in the second week of May 2017 and were welcomed wonderfully. The panoramic terrace looks out over the Catania plain, with majestic Mount Etna behind it, and the Sapienza refuge is easy to reach. Breakfast was generous, with homemade jams, fresh eggs and bacon, and fruit. Courtesy, thoughtfulness, and friendliness are what stand out here. Domenico and Angelo

The fresh air and sweeping views, from Mount Etna to the sea at Acireale, make this a lovely place to reconnect with nature. I recommend it to anyone looking for that. The hospitality is marked by courtesy, elegance, and friendliness.

From the huge terrace there are splendid views of the Ionian Sea and Mount Etna. The owners are warm and welcoming, and they pamper their guests with real enthusiasm. Breakfasts were unforgettable: fresh bread, goat ricotta straight from the shepherd, mandarin jam, and, to finish, Sicilian cannoli. An enchanting, refined place for a wonderful holiday.
