We stumbled across this place by chance and, wow, it was fantastic. The €35 menu can hold its own against one-star Michelin restaurants in Belgium or France. A few of the courses left me wanting more. The ingredients are straightforward but high quality, and the cooking is creative and perfectly executed. This is what modern Italian food should be. A must for food lovers. The wine list is honest and excellent too.

Dining at La Roverella is a one of a kind experience. Alessandro takes carefully chosen ingredients and cooks them with skill and imagination. Each meal is a treat, with inventive dishes and fresh takes on classics that are made to surprise you. The setting is pleasant, and Annalisa makes it even more welcoming with her courtesy and helpfulness. She explains the dishes in a clear, simple way. A sure bet, highly recommended!
The little play area was a hit with our 18-month-old, and she loved the kids’ menu. We came back for Sunday lunch after spending some time there before, and the food was delicious again. It’s a quiet, intimate place, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.
