Waterloo Guest House

The location is great, and the staff were amazing about taking care of our needs. But the place is old and run down, and I can’t recommend staying here. We had three rooms, and two had a serious ant problem. I woke my daughter to find her bed covered in ants, even though there was no food in the room, and nobody was around to get spray or ant powder. The rooms were inconsistent too: some had bedding and mats, others didn’t, and the TVs didn’t work. The front desk closes early, the internet kept cutting out, and after hours the security guard was hanging out with his friends. This place needs major upgrades. I wouldn’t want to stay more than one night.

I only stopped for pizza after seeing the sign, I wasn’t a guest. The large one was especially good and not too expensive at $20.00 US, maybe the best cheese pizza around, or maybe the only one. Update 8/2023: they changed the crust, and it’s totally different and not tasty. Why change it? Please bring back the original crust.

I had to ask for a refund. The room was run down and dusty, and the sheet had stale blood on it. Kids were all over the pool, playing loud dancehall music. It wasn’t worth it. The place seems to be run by kids.

The food was good, and the bedding was comfortable. The bathroom was clean and okay, though some areas could use a bit of paint. Wi-Fi was down and didn’t reach the rooms, and breakfast comes too late if you’re traveling for business. They should offer some food and drinks after 9pm, maybe a vending machine. Everything else was good, except the TV was a bit troublesome to get working.
