The staff were helpful and friendly without getting in your way, and the location just off the highway made it easy to get to the airport and around Kingston. It felt like an authentic Jamaican stay away from the tourist-heavy resorts. The accommodations were simple but cozy, with what you need to be comfortable. My only suggestions would be to add a microwave to the room and a full-length mirror.

From the hotel, we could see mountain ranges on one side and the ocean on the other. It’s also in a convenient spot, about a 10-minute drive from the airport and close to the main shopping hub in Harbor View. The rooms were clean and cozy, with spacious bathrooms and fresh air. Management responded quickly, and our host Vince was always a text or phone call away to make sure we were comfortable. The chef made delicious local food to order, and housekeeping from Ms. Althea was great. My family and I had a fantastic time. Thanks, Scarlett Hotel, for taking care of us. I know where I’ll stay next time I’m in the Kingston area.

The view is beautiful, the rooms are very clean, and the indoor pool is nice. The vibes are great too. I’ve stayed at this resort three times, and each visit has been fantastic. Mr.Richards is a pleasant, caring, thoughtful host who provided all the toiletries we needed and made sure our rooms were clean. Dinner was lovely and delicious, and we could choose what we wanted from the menu before arriving. If you’re on a budget and thinking about staying here, go for it. My friends and I love this place, and I’ll be back with my family soon. 🥰

My family and I had one of our worst stays here, and I wouldn’t recommend the place. There were roaches, no toiletries were provided so we had to bring our own, and the parking situation was not safe. The owner first told my dad he could park in his yard, but then his nephew parked in a narrow spot near the entrance, leaving us to maneuver awkwardly. My dad accidentally made a barely visible scratch on the nephew’s car, and they charged us $25,000 JMD for it. The owner knew his nephew was at fault but still tried to justify what I thought was a ridiculous charge. The kitchen was a disaster. There was always a green dish left in the sink, the microwave was filthy, and the smell kept switching between bad and tolerable. The view was the only redeeming part, but it wasn’t enough to make up for the poor experience. I’m especially upset that we were taken advantage of financially. Save your money and book somewhere else.
