Women and girls, be careful with strangers, and try to have someone you trust with you when booking a boat tour or other service. On a boat trip, I paid the owner's husband, a young Jamaican man, for the service. The owner, a young Italian woman, wasn't there at the time. During the trip he harassed me and asked if we could go on a date. It made me very angry and unsafe. I hope his wife, who owns this Guest house, knows what happened.

There were plenty of cozy spots around the property to read, chat, or watch the sun set over the ocean. The location worked well, too, within walking distance of some of the island's best beaches and a 10-15 minute drive from downtown Port Antonio. Francesca and TJ made us feel at home, from breakfast each morning to a freshly made bed after a day in the sun. Of all the places we stayed in Jamaica, this was easily the best. I'll be recommending both the eastern side of the island and Francesca's guest house to people I know who visit. Thanks for having us!

The house is surrounded by nature, and at night you can hear the waves and sea. It's a short walk to a simple beach, and not too far on foot from Frenchman's cove. Downtown is also a short car ride away. Francesca and TJ were wonderful hosts. Francesca made us feel welcome, suggested daily outings, and connected us with a great guide for the waterfalls. They made breakfast for us every morning, and the staff kept our room clean each day. The stay was truly cute. The wifi wasn't reliable, but I really can't think of anything else negative to say.

Francesca and Carla run a peaceful place with a lovely garden. You can hear the sea, and there's a path next door where you can go down for a swim. Frenchman’s Cove is about a 10-minute walk away. Breakfast was nice, and there's a shared kitchen if you want to cook for yourself. For a drink, go to Mitsy’s bar on the Main Street. She'll look after you.

A green yard and the sound of the waves as you fall asleep and wake up made this a lovely base for visiting the nearby beaches and waterfalls. Francesca and the staff looked after us well and helped plan activities around the weather, so we could enjoy each day. There aren't many restaurant choices close by, but guests can use the kitchen, and there's an optional breakfast. There's also a friendly kitty and dog who aren't intrusive, a nice bonus if you like furry friends.
