Tranquility Estate Bed & Breakfast

Lorna made us feel at home at Tranquility estate, where the house and rooms are very well kept and the view is spectacular. Breakfast was delicious, with herbs and fruit from her garden. We came into Kingston from there and had a great time. Sundays at the Dub club was spectacular and close by, and the next day we visited the Creighton coffee plantation and the impressive art collection at the National gallery in Kingston. There was so much to do and not enough time. Staying outside Kingston’s congestion while still being close to everything worked well for us. The road to the house is narrow and winding, so if you’re not confident driving, taxis are an option.

Our host was brilliant, sharing plenty of ideas for places to visit and eat, plus ways to save money on our first trip to Jamaica. Breakfast was delicious, made with home-grown food on the properly. The views were amazing, and there’s a really cool bar, 'dub club', about a 15-minute walk up the road. We loved staying here and would absolutely recommend it.

The bedrooms are beautiful, and Lorna is a fantastic host. We had a delicious breakfast with epic views, making this a stunning base for exploring Kingston. The drive is winding and bumpy, but so worth it.

I came to the hills above Kingston Jamaica hoping to find some clarity and take in the city from a distance. Tranquility estate gave me that and more, with breathtaking views from both my room and the property. Kingston and everything it offers is just a short drive down the winding hill. If you’re lucky enough to be there on a Sunday night, I’d encourage you to walk farther up the hill to "Kingston Dub Club ", an outdoor roots, rock and reggae experience with amazing city views too. Tranquility estate lives up to its name as a peaceful place where the experience feels very much your own. Thank you Lorna.
