The restaurants were all great, and the hotel made it easy to arrange excursions and find a private driver to take us off resort to Rick’s cafe. I’d recommend upgrading to Platinum for access to the rooftop bars. Christon was our server there each night for happy hour and deserves a special shoutout. I went to Princess Senses the Mangrove with my family, all adults, for a February 2026 vacation. It had reopened just one week earlier, but the staff went above and beyond to make our stay incredible. The resort was clean, with great food and beautiful facilities. Our Platinum Club butlers, Jermaine, Cade and Jerome, were wonderful. Each day they filled a cooler with our chosen drinks, beer, water, coke, champagne, and set it beside a cabana reserved for us. This resort has a special place in my heart.

Everly from Guest Services made my birthday celebration feel so personal. She arranged a private dinner on the beach that was beautifully done, then organized a lovely breakfast by the pool. Marsha Goldson, the Front Desk Manager, also went above and beyond when our airport transportation became an issue. She contacted the company, confirmed the details, and got everything resolved without stress. Her care and professionalism really stood out. The entertainment was a highlight, with live singers, a band, a pianist, and a nightclub. There was always something happening, and it stood out compared with other resorts I’ve visited. The buffet had plenty of fresh, delicious choices, from American-style breakfasts to Caribbean dishes. The property is stunning, and the rooms are spacious and elegant, with gorgeous suites. Nicholas greeted us warmly, handled our luggage, and personally showed us our room. Check-in felt luxurious and smooth: no line, just a seat, a welcome drink, and one-on-one help. Ricardo Anderson at the front desk made it stress-free and was consistently kind, professional, and ready to answer our questions throughout the stay. I celebrated my birthday at Princess Senses The Mangrove, and it was one of my best hotel experiences. The staff made the whole visit unforgettable. I love this resort and will most definitely return. I’m beyond grateful, and highly, highly recommend it.

The people, food, and beautiful resort were the best parts of our anniversary trip. The staff really are the heart of the place. Bartender Christopher was always smiling and friendly, the lady at the coffee shop greeted me warmly each time, and Nicholas at the bell desk went out of his way to help whenever we needed something. The food was delicious, and we were happy with its quality, though we wish we’d known some restaurants would be closed on certain days. We missed a couple of the à la carte places we were most excited about because of their closures. We also hadn’t been told before booking that the other property would be closed until March 1, so the food trucks and VR room wouldn’t be available. Those were two of our main reasons for booking, which was disappointing. We celebrated our 24th wedding anniversary at Princess Senses The Mangrove. It was our first time in Jamaica and our first time leaving our five kids behind. Our room was spacious, clean, and lovely, but we had a few maintenance and service issues. The second shower only had cold water, and the handheld shower was broken and sprayed from the handle. The toilet seat was wobbly and shifted if I sat down too quickly. In-room snacks were refilled only once in our five-day stay, and we had to ask the front desk for more body wash, shampoo, and conditioner. There wasn’t much variety in the entertainment. Most of it seemed to be at the Blue Note bar around 9 p.m., and we didn’t know of other venues with entertainment. More options around the resort would have been nice. Despite the inconveniences, we really enjoyed our anniversary trip.

The food was amazing, the staff were extremely kind, and the events were a lot of fun. The beach was huge, with plenty of room to spread out. My only gripe was dinner. We waited 45 minutes on the first night, which wasn’t great, and the final night was awful: over 2 hours waiting, and we didn’t get half our order. Getting there from Montego Bay airport takes a long time, about 1.5 hours, so be ready for that trek. Once you arrive, it’s a beautiful spot. One thing to know if you’re staying at the adults-only resort: 75% of the restaurants are shared with the family resort. None of them take reservations except the Japanese restaurant, so expect long dinner waits. Apart from that, it was a wonderful experience.

The room temperature issue overshadowed the whole trip. The thermostat was locked at 22°C and wouldn’t go lower, leaving all five of us restless and drenched in sweat every night. Staff repeatedly said this was a resort-wide policy. When we asked for a fan, they said none were available, which is shocking for a 5-star facility with over 1,000 rooms. But another guest in our same building showed us a thermostat they could lower, so staff had given us incorrect information. On our final morning I emailed management, hoping they’d address this nightmare before our 1:00 PM checkout. No one replied. We felt completely ignored, and management’s lack of communication and care about basic air conditioning ruined what should have been a perfect vacation. If you stay, pray your A/C works, because management won’t help or even answer your emails if it doesn’t. The property, grounds, pools, beaches, and food were excellent, and it was exceptionally clean with plenty of great food choices. Staff across the resort were friendly. Our Platinum Butlers, Roy and Navado, did everything they could to make the stay enjoyable. We were at Princess Senses The Mangrove from May 18 to May 23 in the Platinum Club. The resort itself felt premium and luxurious, which made the room problem all the more frustrating.
