The rooms were really comfortable, the mini bar was stocked, and the shower was the best I’ve had in Jamaica. I stayed three nights, and Mr Downie was a perfect host the whole time. The property is at the Almond Tree, very close to a nice free beach whose name I’ve forgotten. I’d recommend staying here and will be back.

Mr. Downie, I hope you’ll do the right thing and return the money. I was mistakenly paid J$200,000 to you, and the bank says you withdrew it even though you knew it wasn’t yours. Please contact me about getting it back. You didn’t sound like a thief on the phone.

The yard was dirty and full of dogs, with barking throughout the day and night. There was dog and urine faeces everywhere. It was disgusting. Don’t waste your time or money visiting this guest house.

The area is nice and quiet, and Mr Paul Downie was an awesome, very friendly host. It’s close to the beach and other outdoor attractions, and the nightlife gets a thumbs up too.

Rooms On The Ridge was a delight. The hospitality really impressed me. It’s just minutes from the lively part of Ocho Rios, but far enough away to be quiet when you want it.
