Mikuzi Kingston

I found Mikuzi while searching at the last minute for somewhere to stay in Kingston, and the characterful rooms and hammocks caught my eye. The real place is even better than the photos, especially because of the wonderful people running it. Valerie and John treated us like family and were incredibly caring and kind. Breakfast included delicious Jamaican fruits and plantain porridge, and they connected us with their son Chad, who runs another place in Portland, a must. Their many recommendations made our trip 100x better. We met lovely guests and enjoyed chatting in the yard in the mornings and evenings. After exploring Kingston, the peaceful, relaxing yard felt like a refuge. This is my home away from home, and I'll only stay at Mikuzi when I return to Kingston. So grateful I found the Mikuzi family. Thank you so much, Mikuzi massive!

The amenities were minimal, but suited the price and covered what you needed without extras. I liked the quiet, rustic feel and felt safe. The property is in a beautiful community, and the management team was friendly and very helpful. I'd definitely return.

For the price, this is one of the best Airbnbs. It's really beautiful, like a mini villa and hotel combined with a Caribbean mom's home. Everyone's welcoming and makes you feel like family, while you still have your own space and can disappear into it.

It's in a central location, with an authentic Jamaican feel and a rustic, peaceful, relaxing atmosphere. The hosts are polite and well mannered, and really committed to meeting your every need. You won't be disappointed! 😁
