The Liguanea Club

The grounds are lovely, and the hotel has a classic atmosphere that recalls its colonial past. My room was spacious and comfortable, with the amenities I needed. Breakfast was fairly decent and included some local dishes.

The building is a little dated, but that didn’t bother us much. Our room was clean, the bed comfortable, and the place quiet and relaxing. My girlfriend and I had a very pleasant stay, thanks in large part to the genuinely lovely, welcoming staff who were friendly and accommodating throughout. Breakfast was the letdown. The ticket covered just one plate, with no seconds, even though the dining area was nearly empty. That felt unnecessarily strict. My girlfriend is vegetarian, and while there were a few options, the selection was limited. There was no almond, soy, or oat milk either, which was disappointing for a hotel in 2025. We enjoyed the stay and appreciated the warm hospitality, but we may not return unless the breakfast improves, especially for guests with dietary restrictions.

The breakfast was beautiful, the food was amazing, and the staff were courteous.

The location was great, close to Emancipation Park in central Kingston, and the area felt safe. The evening and nighttime atmosphere in Kingston was good too. We booked one night at the Liguanea Sports Club. The room was large and comfortable, though it could use some updating. At that reasonable price, with breakfast included, we weren’t complaining. Breakfast was meant to be served at 7:30am but ran late, so we had to take it away, and the portions seemed rationed. We’d stay here again for the location.
