Breathless Montego Bay - Adults Only - All Inclusive

The room had a constant noise that kept us from sleeping. We later learned it came from the rooftop pool, and maintenance had to turn off a pump to quiet it. Night events in the lobby were another problem: loud music and a DJ made it hard to rest. My husband and I travel to relax, and this was the worst vacation we've had. Others in our group had different problems too, so it wasn't just us. We'd paid for the Xhale club, which was supposed to include premium liquor, but the bars ran out of the only two brands we wanted. On the second night, they said they had to make a store run. For an all-inclusive resort, running out of items promised in a package was upsetting and unprofessional. The welcome gift and champagne listed on our itinerary weren't in the room either. I had to ask the front desk, and they eventually brought them. Our room also seemed neglected. The refrigerator kept going out, the safe wouldn't lock and gave an error, and the lights kept switching on by themselves while we were asleep. After traveling since 2 a.m., we were already exhausted, and we couldn't get settled at the 3 p.m. check-in because our room wasn't ready. We traveled as a group and were the only couple without a room. Someone finally came to get us after another 45 minutes of waiting. Horrible resort. Don't waste your time or money.

We stayed an extra day because we didn't want to leave. The staff made us feel like family, especially Radalfi and Demar from hotel management, who kept checking that everything was right and that we were enjoying ourselves. Their warmth and care really stood out. Our room was beautiful, and the resort's views were stunning. It's well placed for local attractions, and the Jamaican food was full of flavor. Bellboy Stephen brought great energy and dance moves that became a highlight of the night. Keino at the Altitude Rooftop Bar mixed drinks perfectly and was welcoming, and lifeguard Audley (Tony) shared stories about Jamaican culture and his younger days that helped us appreciate the island more. From arrival onward, we felt treated like royalty. We left with happy memories and would definitely return.

I booked this trip for a relaxing break, but a hurricane was announced for the area. When I called to cancel, I was told it wouldn't be horrible. I went ahead and canceled, but you refused to give me a full refund, even after the hurricane. That's unacceptable. If I'd continued with the trip, I could have ended up stranded. I need a 100% refund.

Don't sign up for Unlimited Vacation Club (UVC). They're affiliated with Hyatt and operate outside the United States. Their representatives don't seem to agree on what the offers include, and I was given conflicting information again and again. It made the experience frustrating and misleading.
