Dream Hostel suited us well for a week. My friend and I paid an excellent price and had what we needed: a bed, running water, and a kitchen. The kitchen and two bathrooms are shared with the other guests. There was no AC in our room, so it could get really hot, but we had a fan. Route taxis to the Hip Strip, with its resorts and beaches, were easy enough to work out and cost about 2 US dollars each way. The owner was accommodating, arranging a driver for day trips to Ocho Rios and Glistening Waters at a fair price, and taking us grocery shopping when we first arrived. A good fit if you don't need pampering and want to immerse yourself in the culture.
