El Greco Resort

I still remember my visit in 2018 fondly. The staff really tried to make guests feel welcome, and the view over Doctor's Cave was spectacular. The rooms were roomy and clean, even though the resort isn't luxurious. The food and pool area could use improvement.

You can walk to most places along the strip from this central spot, and there's an on-site mini market for the basics you might need when you arrive. The rooms have the necessary appliances and are adequately furnished. They were clean and quiet, the customer service was great, and it has elevators, unlike some of the older places. Breakfast was good too.

The view from the restaurant was gorgeous, and breakfast was good. Our room was tidy and clean, and the air conditioning worked really well. The appliances, TV included, had been unplugged when we arrived, but everything worked after we plugged it in. It turned out to be much better than I expected and good value for the money.

We’ve stayed here on and off for 25 years, and the place is worn but comfortable, clean, and reasonably priced. Our one-bedroom suite had a kitchen and balcony. We just kept snacks and drinks there and ate at restaurants instead of cooking. There’s a restaurant serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner, plus a bar and a nice pool area. It’s quiet up on the cliff, with lovely views. The big draw is how close you are to the Hip Strip. The hotel sits above it at 11 Queens Drive, with a walkway to the top of a high-rise where an elevator takes you straight down. Shops, restaurants, hotels, Doctors Cave beach, and plenty of other things to do are nearby, so we didn’t need taxis or other travel. The self-contained apartment-style hotel also has its own convenience store. It has some security and offers some defense for the complex. 06/18/2024: It seems to be government owned and was used as a COVID holding facility. I don't know what the conditions are like now.
