Jewel Grande Montego Bay Resort & Spa – All Inclusive

We'd love to come back. The hotel food and drinks were incredible, and the staff were so kind and friendly. Ralston was the best, Kerrol made amazing bar drinks, and Nikki's entertainment was second to none. Our kids adored Tracey Anne at the kids club. A huge thank you to her, she's a gem.

The kids wanted to spend time at the beach, and we enjoyed the atmosphere, food, and staff. There was also a nurse on site when we visited, which was a real help when our little one had a fever. She assisted quickly. We'd go back to Jewel Grande.

Coming back to the hotel always meant another problem, even though we had fun outside the resort. We were a large family group in two grand suites on the same level so we could stay near each other, but the cooling gave us trouble every day and we kept getting false promises. The sheets in the master suite were dusty and stained near the foot of the bed when we arrived. After I complained to the butler service, it took almost a full day to get fresh ones. Some nights you might wait until nighttime for a sheet change, if you're lucky. The room fridge also wasn't restocked. On our last day, my cologne went missing. I tipped after the room was cleaned each day to thank the cleaning staff, especially since we were such a large group. I believe the cleaning staff stole it. Andrew McFarline and Calvine Suckan, the managers our butlers asked us to contact, were awful to deal with. They gave us only a small refund, less than the cost of one night's stay, and said they'd look into the theft. They gave us their email addresses and promised a better solution once we got home. I've contacted them for over a month, but they haven't resolved anything or found my cologne. The food was just OK, and I've stayed at better Montego Bay resorts that I'd gladly return to. The butlers seemed interested in providing good service only when tipped generously each night, though we tipped everyone pretty well. We gave this place a try and regret it. They need to overhaul the staff, and I'd tell people to choose another resort and save themselves the trouble. Spending your money here will only cause problems during your stay.

The one thing I'd change is the lack of things to do after dinner, apart from the club. Still, the stay was 100/10 and I'll definitely be back. TOBY and TYRONE, our butlers, made the room look beautiful. At the steakhouse, EVON was a top notch waiter, the food was good, and the steaks were amazing, cooked just right and beautifully presented. The drinks tasted like they were made with love, 10/10. The property was tidy and very clean, housekeeping handled our requests quickly and reliably, and the staff were friendly and helpful.
