Polkerris Bed & Breakfast

Crystal, Charlotte, Terry, and Laura were so kind and sweet, like a warm hug I didn’t know I needed. The ocean view room was perfect, and the daily breakfast is something you really shouldn’t skip. Let the tours wait, take in the view, and start the day slowly over breakfast. There are TWO beautiful pools with great views and 24-hour access. With no kids around, the place felt peaceful and relaxing. At night we liked sitting by the front house pool, listening to music from nearby Hip Strip. The gardens, the stairs down toward Hip Strip, and the whole atmosphere felt magical. We loved it from start to finish and will absolutely return. For couples and families without small children, this was the best stay in Montego Bay.

It was quiet even though everything was easy to get to, and the place is tucked away from Montego Bay’s hip strip. Peter and his wife were lovely hosts who served a tasty, filling breakfast every morning. Our room was spotless and had all the necessities, and the pool area was a great place to relax. We’ll definitely stay here again if we return to Jamaica.

The owners were lovely and took great care of us throughout our week here in March 2026. We had a great stay, with comfortable rooms, hot water, AC, and daily cleaning. Each morning started with coffee, fresh fruit and juice, then an authentic Jamaican dish like saltfish or pepper steak. The pool had great views, and the property was near both the main city and the beaches.

Breakfast was a highlight, with plenty of options and generous servings to fuel a full day out. Both houses and the grounds were immaculate, the gardens lovely, and the pools good for a swim or just relaxing beside. The ocean views from the decks at both houses were magnificent. Doctor’s Cave Beach is under a 15 minute walk away, and Pelican Grill Restaurant, run by the same family as the B&B, is even closer. At the bottom of the hill there’s a handy little mini-mart/liquor store for snacks or drinks. A private staircase goes straight down to Jimmy Cliff Drive, so you don’t have to walk on the road. There seemed to be plenty of secure parking, though we didn’t rent a car and saw other guests had. We loved our four nights here and walked a mile or two in either direction along the coast several times. It’s a great base for exploring Montego Bay.
