Relax Resort

The restaurant food was tasty, but half the menu items weren't available. The room was comfortable, though nothing fancy, and there was no shampoo in the bathroom or at the front desk. We chose this hillside spot for an airport layover because it offered a shuttle, but it only runs at limited times, so check with the front desk. The tropical setting overlooks the airport. Not somewhere I'd pick for a beach holiday, but it worked well for our one-night stop.

The view was lovely and the place looked nice, but I wouldn't recommend staying unless they hire new staff. One woman was bitter, swore where all the guests could hear, rolled her eyes, and looked angry. She wasn't even in uniform. It took almost two hours to get breakfast. The others at the table were served and left, while me and two other people waited more than an hour. They clearly weren't prepared for the guests.

Everyone I met was super friendly, and the view from my room was spectacular. My room was very clean, though outdated, and the TV didn't work. The resort seemed nearly empty, and breakfast was almost nonexistent, which I imagine had a lot to do with COVID. I picked this quaint little place in the hills across from the airport for one night before heading elsewhere. It advertised a free airport shuttle, but that wasn't true, so I had to pay $15 US for a cab for the five-minute ride. They sorted out transport back to the airport the next day, which helped.

The staff were very friendly, and breakfast was fantastic. The location is a bit out of the way, though: a taxi to the Hip Strip costs $20 each way for a five-minute ride. The hotel has a free shuttle, but it only runs three times a day. Dinner was harder, with few choices and nothing on the menu that suited vegetarians.
