Sunset Beach Resort Spa and Waterpark All-Inclusive

The beach was clean and relaxing, and I loved the water slides and ocean views. I had a great time here on my honeymoon more than 14 years ago. The staff were kind, friendly, and very good. I hope they’ve updated the rooms and decor since then. It’s close to the airport and Montego Bay town for shopping, and I felt safe when my husband and I visited.

It’s been closed for years for renovations, but it’s a great hotel. I hope it reopens soon.

The waterpark was really good, and I’d recommend staying here in Jamaica. We came for a family trip and were stunned by the beauty of this huge resort. The service was out of this world. Our rooms were beautiful, neat, and clean, though small. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner were very good, but there weren’t many vegetarian options at dinner.

We enjoyed our stay, with the resort offering something for different ages and preferences. The beach was close by, and there was entertainment both during the day and at night. For a quiet break, there’s a large adults’ pool, plus a bigger area at the back for families with children. Our room had a balcony facing the ocean, so we got a stunning view every day, even in rainy weather. The fridge was stocked and replenished daily, and the staff were consistently friendly and helpful. The buffet had plenty of choices, though the jerk chicken seemed toned down for people with a lower spice tolerance. The other resort restaurants served delicious food, and the alcohol was a plus. The overall feel of the place was pleasant, although parts of the room seemed dated. One thing I’d change is the number of elevators. With only two, guests often had to wait a long time.
