There was constant traffic in and out of the Barefoot Guest House for adult activities, and with how much sound carries there, we could hear it all day and night. My partner and I felt uncomfortable the entire time. The owner, Cliff, was extremely disrespectful, and the staff were rude with no professionalism. They said my room had AC, then switched it off and tried to charge me $1000 a day. They also shut off the water and wanted extra money to turn it back on. Even plugging in my fan was an issue. I arrived from Canada on Sept 21st for seven days, and it felt wrong from the start. I came to realize the guesthouse was actually a brothel. It wasn't welcoming, and I wouldn't bring children there or recommend it to anyone. This was the worst guesthouse experience of my life. For your own good and safety, DO NOT COME to the Barefoot Guest House in Morant Bay St. Thomas. Minus zero stars.

It was clean, cool, and peaceful while we were there, and the hosts were really kind and welcoming. I loved the stay, and we'll definitely be back.

We slept really well here. The road was quiet, the place felt very safe, and town was easy to get to. Our suite had two spacious rooms, two queen beds and a couch, plus a little kitchen with a mini fridge, kettle, and microwave. There was also a small outdoor seating spot, a bathroom with a hot shower, plenty of windows and fans, and the beds were very comfortable. For Jamaica, the price was very affordable. The owner and staff were friendly and helpful, and went out of their way to be kind. I'd highly recommend it if you're in the area.

The compound's atmosphere was fine, and the service was okay when I visited. Getting in and out may feel awkward for some since it's a one-way route, with a few informal settlements nearby. Even so, the surrounding area is fairly peaceful, and you shouldn't run into undue stress or difficulty.

We stayed at the Barefoot Guest House in November 2017, and the host was so warm and friendly. Breakfast was excellent, especially the ackee and saltfish with fried dumplings that just melted in our mouths. I'm booking another night there for February 2018.
