Country Country

I've been to Negril six times and decided to try Country this year. We arrived Jan 17 and had the "Native" dinner on the Country beach. After waiting two hours, the meals came out awful. The jerk pork was all pork fat and completely undercooked, so it was inedible. We told the waitress we couldn't eat it. Then the kitchen supervisor came over and very rudely said she would still charge us, even though we barely touched either plate. The General Manager visited the next morning and promised to take care of the charges, but they were still on our bill when we checked out. It was the worst meal and service we've had in Negril. We'll never return.

I took my mother there for her birthday yesterday. The scenery is beautiful, and the environment is clean and quiet. The service was okay, though the servers could be friendlier. I don't know if it was because we're not white 😃. The food wasn't bad, but the beach was rough and not very clean. Country county is a nice, relaxing place if you want quiet. If you're looking for entertainment, it's not for everyone.

The reception staff member’s behavior left us uncomfortable. I’d stayed here recently, and she was rude to me; another staff member saw it, and I reported it to the manager. I didn’t feel the complaint was resolved. Later, while she was off duty at a local store with friends, she stared at my family and seemed to be talking about us. It felt unprofessional. I’d considered coming back, but for now I won’t rebook at Country Country. Hopefully she’ll have moved on by then.

We came over for breakfast while staying at a nearby hotel and ended up eating here three times. The people serving us had a great attitude, and the food was fresh, healthy, and clean. Best breakfast we found on Seven Mile Beach.
