Jackies on the Reef

The bamboo and deep tissue massages were done with great care and technique. As the tension left our bodies, the sound of waves on the reef lulled us into contentment, and we didn’t need any other music. This was my first visit, after seeing the place on someone’s blog. It’s deep in West End, but worth the drive, especially if you’ve never gone past Rick’s Cafe. The staff were courteous and professional, the property is beautiful, and Ms Jackie, the owner, welcomed us warmly and made us feel at home.

Those four days at Jackie's were the peaceful, quiet, inviting break I badly needed. It felt like the universe and I were aligned, and I got the absolute quiet and time to myself that I’d asked for. I love the staff and Jackie. On my last night, I got to sit and have dinner with her. I look forward to going back.

The therapists here are so talented, with plenty of treatments to choose from. I also love coming up for lunch and a chance to rest. If you stay in a room, make time for the nature and yoga @ the reef. Being able to relax there without interruptions while visiting JA feels like a true gift. I highly recommend getting to know Miss Jackie too. She's a beauty!

We both had deep tissue massages, and my husband was really happy with his. I was hoping for the same because travel had left my back in rough shape, but mine felt more like a rubdown than deep tissue. The place itself is lovely inside, quiet, and has a no phones atmosphere. Jackie was sweet and fun to chat with, and the prices seemed reasonable. If you mainly want to unwind, this could be a good fit. Book ahead, and remember it's cash only.
