The staff are wonderful, and the rooms were clean with comfortable beds. The beach side is beautiful too. Just a heads-up that the hotel bar is very expensive, and I’d suggest trying the stores only a few steps away. I wanted to support the local sellers outside, but they came across as a bit aggressive and made me uncomfortable, so I learned to say I wasn’t interested and keep walking. One night, someone followed me on the beach. I stayed alert and stopped near other people until he went away. Be careful and stay safe.

The beach was enjoyable, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Buffet meals were okay, with a decent mix of American and local food, plus a limited all-inclusive menu if you didn’t want or couldn’t eat from the buffet. The menu servings were huge. What disappointed us was the gap between the website description and what we found. We expected the patio of our Superior Beachside Room to open straight onto the beach, but the hotel sits perpendicular to it, with the open-air bar and restaurant between the rooms and sand. The rooms felt old, bare, and a bit tacky despite the clean linens. There were no amenities, and we had to ask for towels. We got two bath towels, but no hand towels, washcloths, or tissues. There was no toilet paper holder, the phone didn’t work, so contacting the front desk meant walking to the office, and the AC remote was broken. The corners also looked like they had caked-on dirt.

The location was perfect, and the staff were so kind and helpful. Vanessa especially stood out, her warmth brought a smile to our faces every day. We had a wonderful, memorable stay and will definitely come back. My one wish is for more variety in the food, particularly at dinner, since it was often the same.

There were 12 of us, and the Legends team was so accommodating to our group. We loved the beach, especially being around locals during the day and walking together when we went out in the evenings. Roots bamboo and Woodstock bars down the road were a lot of fun, and the crossing guard was great when we needed to get across. Every taxi driver we were recommended was excellent. Such a good trip, thank you, Legends!

Everything matched what was advertised, and the service is what makes this resort. The younger staff just starting their careers are fortunate to learn from the experienced professionals who’ve been there for years. It’s old-school service, polite and erudite. Neville keeps the grounds immaculate, our room was very clean, and the housekeeper was fantastic. We’ll be back. Thanks to everyone.
