Moon Palace Jamaica – All Inclusive

I had the best sleep of my life, the bed was so comfortable, and I was lucky to get such a beautiful view. I didn’t even turn the TV on. The food was good and the menu changed every day, and the staff made sure we had everything we needed and more. They treated me like royalty and were super nice, almost too nice. I wish I could thank everyone here. Montgomery made my last night special, Andrew the bar tender made me a special mango drink, and Kemarolo Belonoe made my rare drink and washed his hands after every drink. This was my first vacation ever and I enjoyed every bit of it. I’ll be back, moon palace Jamaica!!

Most of the staff made the trip memorable for my family and me. Kamena at Pier 8, Tameka serving on the beach, Tanika at the Jerk hut, Chef Eli at Momo, Clayton, Shane, Miguel, Rashaun, and Andre, who served and bartended, were all wonderful. Their kindness felt real, and I won’t forget what they did for us. Trudy, Subrina, and Lawrence from the palace members section were also extraordinary at their jobs. I had no other problems after the incident with their supervisor. The day after check-in was disappointing. I’d agreed to give Trudy 90 minutes for a tour of the members section. Subrina and Lawrence explained it and the financial benefits well, but after an hour and 45 minutes I decided not to go ahead. They kept trying to persuade me, and I stayed because they were nice. After two hours, my partner left to start enjoying the vacation. They asked me to bring him back, but I said he wasn’t coming. The supervisor then came over rudely and said my partner needed to return and sign something. I was so disappointed by his disrespect that I got up to find my party and start enjoying my vacation. To be clear, Trudy, Subrina, and Lawrence were great. Thanks, Moon Palace!

Of the restaurants we tried, Pier 8 stood out by far for its service, food quality and taste, and welcoming atmosphere. We ate there twice, and both meals were superb, a real culinary delight. Dana served us the first time, and her bright, cheerful manner made a strong impression. When we returned the next day, she wasn’t working, but Kadijah was just as welcoming, with lovely energy and a delightful smile. Dadrie was also attentive and helpful at the snack bar near the event hall, despite having so many people to serve. Moon Palace is a jewel in Jamaica, and I’d return to this colorful island and hotel without hesitation.

The restaurant food was delicious, and the staff there were pleasant and accommodating. For excursions, I’d strongly suggest looking outside the resort, depending on what you’re after. Omar Tours Jamaica, which you can find on TripAdvisor and Viator, was such a good tour that I would have cancelled my hotel excursions and booked them for our whole stay if I hadn’t passed the cancellation deadline. The hotel and rooms were immaculate, and the A/C worked phenomenally well. The shower pressure on the 14th floor wasn’t great, possibly due to hurricane damage. Also, when I booked, it wasn’t clear that a King Size bed cost extra to guarantee, so be aware of that.
