The ocean view really stands out, and the place feels peaceful and private, with a more laid-back vibe than some resorts. Our room was clean, though the furnishings looked a little dated. Staff kept a low profile but were polite, housekeeping was on point, and the food was okay.

I spent two nights here on a work trip. The grounds and the houses and bungalows are appealing on their own, and the sea view is lovely. Still, the hotel felt as if the owner had stopped giving it attention, and it could use more care. We were the only three guests, and at this price I expected much more. With some attention to the amenities, staff, and kitchen, it could be a great place. Service was friendly and the staff tried to help, but everything moved very slowly, especially food. At breakfast we waited an hour for French toast, coffee, and what seemed like fake orange juice. The choices for breakfast, lunch, and dinner were all limited à la carte options, portions were small, and the food wasn't tasty. My room, 101, was cozy, but a thin gap by the main door let mosquitoes in at night. Some lights didn't work, so it was dark. The bathroom could have been nice, but the toilet wasn't stable or clean when I arrived, and its water refill problem sometimes made flushing impossible for half a day. The shower pressure was extremely weak, so during the day I couldn't use it at all. There were almost no room amenities: just two small bars of soap, one for handwashing and one meant to serve as shower gel and shampoo. I had brought my own, and would suggest doing the same. The towels were clean but stained, and there were no water bottles.

The staff were wonderful, especially Gaynor, and I had a great stay at Moxons Beach Club. The quiet, comfortable, beautiful property is a place I'd gladly return to soon. I hope they address a few things before then. The restaurant prices felt like a rip-off, so nobody used it. I would have spent money there if the prices were better, and it seems like a missed opportunity. Some parts of the property are out of commission and need care. The entrance is unassuming and unimpressive, and the room smelled strongly of old wood when I first walked in, though the smell faded. I'm not trying to bash the place, just pointing out what needs work to make it a regular go-to spot.

The views here are spectacular, the AC worked great, the fridge kept things very cool, and staff let us use the pool for 30 minutes after closing, which was nice. But the place needs work. There was no hot water, bar, or restaurant, and getting a chef required a request 24 hours ahead. There was nowhere nearby to sit and eat. The rooms were okay for a night, though the mattress was rock hard and I kept waking with a stiff neck. The pillows were flat, and only one or two staff were around. It feels very secluded, maybe suited to a new couple wanting lots of time alone. I can see the owners are trying, but it wasn't enough for me. Business here seems to have been hit hard by Covid. Update: I contacted the host, and she kindly let us leave early with a partial refund.
