Pineapple Suites

We came back for a second weekend in a row for BRT Weekend at Pearly Beach. This time we had room #110, a bedroom suite with a separate living room, and the shower pressure was much better than in room #114 last time. Both rooms had hot water on both weekends. Just be aware that if someone is showering, flushing the toilet or running the faucet will make their water go cold until that's finished. The hot water comes back, no matter how long the shower is. The Jamaican breakfast is amazing, and the cook is so good that if I weren't already married I might propose to him. My husband, daughter, and I love his food. The place is affordable and conveniently located, with free parking, ice-cold AC, and strong, steady Internet. Every staff member, from security to reception to the restaurant, was very nice. The walls are thin, though, so if a guest is keeping you awake, politely knock and ask them to quiet down. I did, and they did. The greenery around the grounds is lovely and peaceful. We still haven't tried the pool. The road getting there is rough, but lots of side roads in Jamaica are like that, and that's the road works ministry's responsibility, not Pineapple Suites. Don't let it put you off if you want an affordable place to sleep, shower, and eat breakfast. Thanks from the Bajraktarević family! We found it on Google Maps and stayed Friday to Monday again. Same great value as last time, so I'm copying my earlier review.

It's a convenient spot for exploring the north coast and the coastal town of Ochos Rios, and we'll certainly return. The rooms were airy, clean, well equipped, and very comfortable. There was a nice outdoor area for an early coffee or a swim, and the staff were polite and friendly.

The phone quote was 20,000 for two rooms, but when I arrived one of the two ladies charged me $200 USD. I felt it was mainly because I'm from America and seemed easy to play with. If you're not Jamaican, bring someone local when you're buying. Aside from that, it has what it says it has, with a few minor hiccups.

The space was clean, the tea station was set up well, and the refrigerator worked. There was good closet space, but only three of the five lights worked. The curtains were very thin with partial blinds. No hot water, no internet, and no microwave.
