Pink Rock Bed & Breakfast

The staff were helpful and got us checked in quickly. The first room, with a double bed, was okay, but it didn't have a flat screen TV. We moved to the upgraded room with a Queen sized bed, but its AC wouldn't work at all, even on the coldest setting. The ceiling fan helped a bit.

It was quiet and peaceful at the Resort, a good place for meditation. The staff were responsive and friendly, and the owner was nice and ready to help. The accommodation was clean, with homely furnishings, and the Resort was tidy and well maintained. Its central location is close to the town centre of Ocho Rios. A great place for a vacation.

The room smelled so bad I felt like throwing up. My husband, visiting St. Ann from Canada for the first time, asked why it smelled so awful too. We had already booked, it was late, and we were only staying one night, so I persuaded him to stick it out rather than look for a guest house at that hour. We were so disappointed. It's a nice place, but please air the room out and make it smell fresh before guests arrive. I won't go back, sorry, that's the truth. I don't know if we were treated this way because we're black guests speaking Jamaican. Only Shaw staff could tell us why, and maybe apologize someday. It's sad, because my mom works at a guest house in Portland, and this isn't how you treat a room someone is paying to stay in.

The location is good and the floor was clean, I’ll give them that. But the place really needs fixing up, from the furniture to the kitchen and bathroom. There was a bad stain on the sheets, so I didn’t sleep there. I only used the room to bathe, then came back around 4:30 a.m. I packed my things and left in the morning, while my friend stayed until the buses started running. It was just a one-night stay for a party. I wanted to stay until checkout, but no.
