Hotel Riu Ocho Rios - All Inclusive

The view from our room took in both the mountains and the ocean, and every part of the resort felt well looked after, from the pool and restaurants to the buildings. The pool is huge, with a separate adult pool where kids aren't allowed and plenty of room for them in the other one. The water park was a thrill for kids and adults alike, and the beach is a short drive from the world famous duns River falls. It’s worth checking out the Martha too. The restaurants were tasty and easy to book, and the food at the KFC was better than any American or Canadian KFC. Eating there might save you money too, especially compared with two Wendy's combos at Montego Bay airport for nearly $70 USD. The bartenders were fast, skilled and really friendly. Everyone we met was lovely to talk and joke with, and the photographers did a tremendous job of making the trip memorable. 10 out of 10, and I can’t wait to return. THANKS RIU OCHO RIOS❤️! The beach was perfect, and the pools were good, though each one was closed for chemical treatment during the day once while we were there. We found the drinks varied a lot from bar to bar, so we got to know a bartender at each one who could make what we wanted. The food was delicious, with lots of variety, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout. Service was amazing. We stayed in a fabulous Junior Suite on our second visit, and this resort is on our list of places to return to.

The beach was even better than I expected, with a coral reef just offshore that’s great for snorkeling. Food choices were good too, especially the Italian à la carte and the jerk chicken by the pool. Fabian and Zante were the standout entertainers. They really seem to love what they do and make sure people have a great time. I’d recommend the resort and hope to come back next year.

The people here are the reason I want to return every year. Chavis, one of the waiters, went above and beyond every night, and Charlene was an amazing waitress. You could tell they cared about their work beyond just being nice and doing customer service. Vanessa from RIU FUN also made sure my son had a wonderful time. He’s three and got so attached to her that he has asked for her every day since we left. If the owner of RIU Ochi sees this, please acknowledge these staff members. I hope to see them again. For parents with little kids, RIU land does a fantastic job keeping them entertained and safe, and helping them make great memories. The resort was beautiful, the entertainment was incredible, and the food was 10/10 every night.
