Sunspots Villa

Our group of 13 visited in Feb 2020, just before COVID-19 started limiting travel. The support staff went above and beyond to make my wife's 25th anniversary one we'd always cherish. Everyone was pleasing, and I can see how someone might find Erica a bit challenging at first: she was professional before becoming more social once our party and driver, Orlando, had earned her trust. As the property manager, I'd expect nothing less. Once she warmed up, Erica was a joy, like the rest of the staff. The property was beautifully manicured, clean, and enchanting, easily a 6 out of 5. The staff were a 7. I won't forget the flower petals arranged on our bed as an anniversary surprise. They must have spent hours on it while we were sunbathing. I want Erica on my team, and we'll return when restrictions are lifted. Shout out to the charming Mr. Wilson and the solid, respectful security team. They made everyone feel at home. Cheers!

My brother-in-law, a native Jamaican, treated us to this absolute gem. It was a lovely post-COVID reunion with him, my sister, my college-aged niece and nephew, my elderly parents, his elderly mother, and my son, who has moderate autism. The staff were excellent and anticipated what we needed before we even asked. They'd protest if we tried to lift a finger. Highly recommended.

The staff were polite, thorough, and accommodating, but the property manager, Erica(runaway bay), made the stay miserable. She was rude when we asked her to remove marijuana we found in the safe on arrival, implying we had brought it in. When we reported ants running along the living room wall into the bedroom and a plumbing problem, she responded with an attitude. Later, the dishwasher overflowed. Instead of cleaning it herself while she was there, she accused us of messing with it, brought "her" dude to inspect it, then called a nearby staff member in at midnight to mop up. Another day we asked the staff to prepare a meal and keep it ready since we were going out and didn't know when we'd be back. We returned around nine or ten, after being out all day and not even hungry, and the staff were still standing by to serve us. Erica stayed just outside my room the whole time. Her attitude never changed, and I didn't like how she treated my family or the staff. No smiles, no thanks, and no checking in to see if things were alright. It felt like a dark cloud over the place. The beach isn't private. It's a long stretch shared with the resort, two neighboring homes, and anyone coming over from the neighborhood beside the building. One morning during meditation, a very intoxicated local approached me. Another local stepped in, and I don't know how it might have ended otherwise. I usually return to familiar vacation spots so I can relax without worrying about every move. I have visited Jamaica several times, and this trip had been much anticipated and very necessary, but it was terrible. The staff did their jobs well, but I'll NEVER return here. Thinking of Jamaica now makes me cringe. This was honestly the worst vacation of my life. Nothing about the stay felt luxurious.

The host made us feel comfortable, and I had a great time at sunspot Villa. The food was amazing.
