The villa was absolute perfection for our organizational retreat last weekend. The online pictures showed it exactly as it is, and everything there felt just right. The housekeeper was respectful, the chefs were amazing, and they catered to all our needs throughout the stay. Even the soft, clean comforters and extremely comfortable sofa stood out. It’s a 10/10 recommendation from me, and I can be a picky perfectionist. Getting in touch with the Concierge was a bit challenging in the weeks before we arrived, though it improved during the week of our stay. We’re definitely going back!

The house was nice and clean, but the shared pool and jacuzzi were dirty the whole time I stayed there in late December. The villa is in a scheme without fencing, and the pool is shared, which wasn’t clear from the photos. Housekeeper Chin came in every day without notice, so we had no privacy. On checkout day, with a noon checkout, she came in at 10 a.m. and started cleaning and taking things away. I paid $450 USD per night, then accidentally broke a salt shaker and had to pay the house $1500 JMD for it. That spoiled the trip for me, and I was afraid to use their crockery.

Samambaia Holistic Mobile was asked to provide massage therapy and braiding for some guests at Tropical Escape Villa. The villa is a beautiful home away from home, spotless, comfortable, spacious and welcoming, with lovely furnishings. I’d recommend Tropical Escape Villa to anyone wanting somewhere quiet and convenient to stay.

The house was still nice for the most part, but I didn’t enjoy the stay much. We chose the location mainly for the advertised pool, then found out it was like a community pool. It was very unkempt when we visited, so we couldn’t swim during our stay. That was really disappointing. Check-in at 3:00pm and checkout by 12:00pm were strict, with no flexibility even though our late flight meant we couldn’t check in until night and had little time to enjoy the space. It also would’ve been appreciated if there were soap in the bathroom, though I guess the host wasn’t required to provide it.
