Kudehya Guesthouse

It’s wonderfully quiet here, with the waves as the main thing you hear. Our room had a private terrace looking out over the coast, and the garden was lovely, with different birds to spot. Peggy and Marco made us feel very welcome, and it’s easy to see why some guests return year after year. There are walks and good food options close by, and the area felt safe. It’s also a short walk from the busier main tourist area, which suited us well.

We had a great setup for three couples, each with a room and a private place to spend time. The top-floor balcony has an incredible view, and the beach is just a short walk away. Marco was always around if we needed help, and everything we wanted was close by. Five stars.

The beaches were lovely and often nearly empty, though the water can be rough and swimming is only possible in certain spots. Peggy and Marco know the area well and were always helpful and friendly. We enjoyed the nearby Lashings Beach Club for dinner and drinks, and were able to use its pool while eating there. From 23.01.23 to 31.01.23, we stayed at Kudeyha Guesthouse and found it quiet, simple and thoughtfully designed right by the sea. We loved sitting on the terrace and hearing the waves, even if the sound took a night to get used to. Marco brought us water and coffee each morning, which was nice before heading out to Treasure Beach, Jack Sprats Beachbar, Eggys Restaurant and Fishermans Restaurant. We also visited Bob Marley Museum in Kingston, YS-Falls and the Crocodile Safari in Black Waters. It was a relaxing stay, and we loved it. Warm wishes to Peggy, Marco and the dogs.

I loved the creative style of the rooms and cottages, and everything was very clean. Our host was friendly and accommodating, and staying here made for a beautiful experience. I’d happily come back on another visit to Treasure Beach.
