Jabal Amman Hotel

The location's great, the place is very clean, and the staff are lovely. To get there from the airport, take the Sariyah bus. It's easy and really cheap, runs 24/7, then take a taxi or Uber for about 2 USD and you'll be at the hotel. Recommended.

The location is great, but the rooms don't look as good as they do in the pictures, and breakfast service is really poor. Keep your expectations low and it should be fine.

For a lower price, I actually got a better stay than I expected. The staff were really friendly, and the hotel was close to downtown, which worked out well.

The location is spot on, just at the roundabout outside Rainbow Street, and the building feels more like a big house than a hotel. We came as a group of 12 from four families, with four kids. We were sitting outside having tea and coffee at 5 in the evening when a very old man, presumably the owner, told us we were making too much noise. Since we were in the lobby and dining area, I could accept that. But later, while we were in our room, reception called to say other guests were complaining about noise, even though we were literally the only guests there. The only person we'd seen was the receptionist, so I guess it was him. The next day's breakfast buffet was barely there. Food had been put out for about six people, so only eight of our group of 12 got to eat properly. When we asked for more, they said the eggs and bread were finished. Yes, even the bread. I'm doubtful this place deserves even the two stars it advertises. I've traveled to over two dozen countries, and this was my worst hotel experience. The location is good if you're traveling for a funeral or with other 100-year-olds.
