Post Boutique Amman Hotel

The room was spacious and really warm in winter, and the reception staff were very nice. But we found hair on the bed, and the bathroom floor hadn’t been cleaned properly before we arrived. Breakfast was basic, brought to the room on a tray since there’s no dining area. It was enough to fill us up, though it wasn’t very good.

The hotel is average at best and overpriced. After one night at the Post Boutique Hotel, we wouldn’t stay again or recommend it to international travellers. We’ve stayed at several hotels around Amman, and this one had the same issues we’ve seen at other privately run boutique places, such as a lack of staff training. The staff didn’t seem confident speaking English, which could come across as stand-offish, and they also seemed challenged when speaking with women. Our room was averagely clean and didn’t smell of smoke, which we appreciated. Water, coffee and tea were provided as expected, but the kettle had lime-scale in it, so we cleaned it ourselves. The broken shower sent water in different directions and made it hard to relax on holiday. Breakfast was delivered to our room by a very young staff member wearing a coat, and the service didn’t feel professional. It was two boiled eggs, spring rolls, salad items and cheese. They kindly brought more when we asked, and we appreciated the effort, but it didn’t add up to a full breakfast in Amman for people familiar with the region.

I had a great week at post boutique hotel. The location was close to nearly everywhere I needed to go, and my room was very clean. Housekeeping kept checking whether I needed anything. Rami was especially helpful and always there when I needed something. Thanks for such a good stay. I’ll definitely stay there again if I visit Amman.

The location was great, and the hotel looks nice with decent rooms. But the service felt hostile. We weren’t allowed into the dining room for breakfast, which was sent up to our room instead. It was also very noisy.
