The St. Regis Amman

The rooms could use a refresh, though the bathrooms looked recently renovated and were done very well. The property itself is beautiful and welcoming, and we had a pleasant stay. Service was the real standout. The employees were friendly, professional, and accommodating. Management clearly cares about guests, and any concern we raised was quickly passed up and addressed, which made us feel looked after. Breakfast was another high point, with a huge range of choices for different tastes.

The people here made the stay. From the first greeting, they made us feel important and were ready to help with anything. At breakfast they even brought me a hot chocolate to take away without me asking. The building has plenty of glamour too, and it was lovely, but the staff were amazing. Our room was spacious and comfortable, the pastries were really good, and breakfast was fantastic. Great location, and the hotel felt very secure. A true five-star place. I’d love to come back.

Check-in was quick and easy, and everyone was welcoming and professional. The facilities were fantastic, so I had a wonderful stay. I’ll definitely return and recommend the hotel.

The staff are what I’ll remember most. Saed, Farrah, Alaa, Ahmed, Mohammed Tobk, and Khaled were warm, professional, and caring, and they made the stay better than I expected. I can’t wait to return to The St. Regis Amman. My room was spacious, had a gorgeous view, and felt thoughtfully arranged. Room service and turndown were impeccable, and fresh fruit and water were brought by each day. The gym was much better than most hotel gyms I’ve used. I also felt especially safe as a solo traveler, thanks to the security checkpoint and metal detectors at the entrance. I visited alone over Christmas after debating between the St. Regis, the Ritz-Carlton, and the Four Seasons. Choosing the St. Regis was absolutely the right call. The hotel was stunningly decorated for the holiday, with an elegant, festive feel. They even had a handmade gingerbread house that took three months to make, and it was real. The food gave me plenty to try. I had breakfast each morning at Mercado, where the buffet had an enormous selection and the staff were attentive and kind. They also gave me thoughtful ideas for things to see and do in Amman. I ate at Zenith and Tamara too, and both were great. Having drinks at the St. Regis Bar felt like being back home in New York, with its stylish, comfortable, speakeasy character. There was a small mix-up about my airport pickup before I arrived, so I took a taxi without knowing a car had already been sent. I got in around 2:00am, but after that everything went smoothly. The staff had been communicating with me before my arrival and made me feel at home right away. The nightly champagne ceremony is held around 6:30-7pm, with a staff member gathering guests, saying a few words, and opening champagne. I don’t drink alcohol, but I enjoyed ordering hot chocolate on demand. It was a thoughtful little touch that made an impression. I’m already daydreaming about being back. The hotel sets a high standard for hospitality and service, and I highly recommend staying here.
