Thousand Nights Hotel Amman

The staff were professional, polite, and genuinely lovely. Bara’a Aabid, the Front Office Manager, deserves special thanks for her dedication and charming help. She made the stay memorable and stress-free. The hotel was exceptionally clean, and I really enjoyed staying in one of the excellent suites. Its location is superb, lively, and close to essential amenities and major roads, so getting around and reaching things was easy. My stay at the Thousand Nights Hotel in Amman was outstanding, and I highly recommend it.

The Bilkana Restaurant was a real bright spot. The food was great, and the team there were polite, attentive, and helpful. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, check-in went smoothly, and Amman Citadel was only a short drive away. The less welcoming parts were at reception and breakfast. Staff seemed rather cold compared with other places we stayed in Jordan. At breakfast, nobody greeted us or offered coffee or tea, and the whole experience felt flat. A warmer front desk and breakfast team could have made this a much better stay.

For what this hotel costs, I expected much better. I won't recommend it or come back. The room smelled of smoke, and the ventilation seemed to carry smoke in from rooms where people were smoking. My child had a bad coughing fit overnight, likely from the smoke coming through the vent. The whole family woke up with sore throats and a lot of mucus, and our sleep and well-being suffered. The room was also far too warm. The air conditioning kept switching on and off without cooling it. The sofa had glitter all over it, and the carpet was extremely dirty. We even found a needle on the floor, which was unacceptable, especially with a child traveling with us.

The spa was a highlight, with massages and a Turkish bath, and the lobby lounge is a lovely place to have breakfast. Dinner and lunch were great too, and Bilkana cafe often has live music and events in the evenings. You could easily spend a week here without needing to go out, though the hotel is also in the best part of town if you do. I've stayed here before and will come back again. The only reason I don't consider it a five-star hotel is that they respect religion and don't serve alcohol. And Abu Jubara is right next door, with what I think is the best falafel restaurant in Jordan, if not the world.
